Online Education Advisory Groups
MU has three advisory groups to help in the development and delivery of online education, as we move forward to provide affordable, online, Christian ministry training for grassroots missional leaders in diverse cultural contexts across the globe. Each group consists of Deans, Department Chairs, and faculty members whose service spans one or two academic years.
Missional Advisory Group
This group advises on the strategic direction, organization, and operations of the Office of Online Education. In addition, it explores, coordinates, implements, and monitors all opportunities related to online courses, programs, and services for students across the globe.
Compliance Advisory Group
This group identifies and addresses potential compliance issues for online education such as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) considerations, protecting of student records in compliance with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), state authorizations to deliver online education to students overseas, recruiting practices, and student attendance documentation. This advisory group also guides the development, documentation, and implementation of best practices.
Teaching and Learning Advisory Group
This group focuses on assuring the quality of curriculum and instruction of online courses and programs at MU. This advisory group also guides the development, documentation, and implementation of best practices in preparation for accreditation processes.
