About Missional University
An innovative approach to religious and theological education, Missional University helps Christian believers make a greater impact in their neighborhoods, communities and the world through education that is rooted in the mission of God in this world. This university is redefining how Christian lay people and clergy professionals learn through an engaging online classroom where missional leaders can maximize their giftedness and update their craft while preparing for the next steps in their calling.
Missional University offers a wide range of two-year degree programs across many different subject areas at four different educational levels. Twenty-five Dual Enrollment Academies provide high school students the opportunity to earn 24 credit hours during their junior and senior years. Associate Degree programs in each of the six schools and colleges offer students the foundation they need for bachelor programs in the university. Bachelor degree completion programs enable students with 45 credits or more to complete their undergraduate degrees. Master's level degrees are highly specialized and may be combined in a dual degree program with a third-year Master of Divinity.
Missional University prepares you for more than a career. Here, you learn how to serve in the mission of God as your mission. Six schools work together to bring you an interdisciplinary education that integrates a unique missional study of the Bible, missional practice, and a full degree program in the study area of your choosing. Provides training at multiple educational levels to equip believers to serve in their communities among individuals, families groups and societies. across the globe.
The Missional University Chaplain’s Office has a four-fold focus: 1). to fan the flame of the vision of Missional University to be Biblically-based, missionally driven, interculturally-focused, contextually-informed, practically-minded and experientially-transformed; 2) to foster community through personal and group contact; 3) to function as a “soul-nurturer” (encouraging a living and vibrant life and walk with Jesus Christ) for faculty, staff, and student; and 4) to provide a “safe place” to do life through authentic personal and group interaction.
Members of the Missional Upsurge Network are an inner circle of supporters who actively participate in expanding global missional education. This is an opportunity to join together with fellow Christian believers from across the globe to pray, promote and give to the cause of equipping God’s people to join the mission of God in the world. Faculty and Staff are encouraged to participate.
Missional University develops strategic partnerships with mission entities, non-profits & NGOs, schools, churches and church groups to enable partners to empower missional leaders from anywhere to everywhere. Our strategic arrangements enable partners to increase their missional capacity, expand community engagement, extend missional influence, and equip missional leaders to mobilize believers to serve in the mission of God in the world.

Faith Statement
We, the board of directors. faculty and staff of the schools of the Missional University and members of the Church of Jesus Christ, praise God for his great salvation and rejoice in the fellowship he has given us with himself and with each other. We are deeply stirred by what God is doing in our day, moved to penitence by our failures and challenged by the unfinished task of evangelization.
Ethos Statement
We gladly take up the mantle of the early missionary pioneer, William Carey, a shoemaker, called to serve in the mission of God in the world, who, together with his colleagues drafted the Serampore Covenant to guide the development of their Christian mission in 1805 Serampore, India.

Educational Innovation
Missional University is designed to primarily focus on those aspects of practical theology that support persons in non-Institutional Church roles. We combine a missional study of the Bible and practice with full degree programs in areas where laypersons and professional clergy can serve in the mission of God in the world.
Livingstone Signature Series
The Livingstone Signature Series is the missional centerpiece of the degree programs at Missional University. Each degree program (Associate, Bachelor completion and Master's degrees) has a set of three courses that every student takes. These courses provide a foundational missional understanding.
Missional Competency Framework
Missional University has created a set of core competencies across our six core values that instill within graduates measurable values, knowledge, skills, abilities, attitudes, and attributes that prepares them to combine outstanding professional roles with their missional service. Upon graduation, competent Missional University graduates integrate their purpose, passion and mission with their personal, spiritual and vocational life expressed in service in the mission of God to which they have been called.
Accreditation, Validation, Articulation & Licensure
According to the US Department of Education, "Accreditation is the recognition that an institution maintains standards requisite for its graduates to gain admission to other reputable institutions of higher learning or to achieve credentials for professional practice. The goal of accreditation is to ensure that education provided by institutions of higher education meets acceptable levels of quality." Accreditation may refer to two types: institutional and to programmatic or specialized accreditation.
