Why Environmental Law & Justice Studies?

Marginalized communities, including low-income neighborhoods and communities of color, have historically faced environmental hazards, pollution, and lack of access to environmental resources. The Department of Environmental Law & Justice recognizes these shortcomings and seeks to offer students a variety of coursework that establishes a legal frame that promotes impartial environmental benefits to all persons.
