Competency in Millennial Spiritual Formation

Designing Impactful, Biblically Grounded Spiritual Formation

The Millennial ministry microcredential equips church leaders and ministry professionals with verified competency in Millennial spiritual formation, delivering essential skills to effectively reach and disciple the Millennial generation—one of the largest yet most unchurched and dechurched cohorts in history. Participants master understanding Millennials' unique worldview, influenced by postmodernism and Moralistic Therapeutic Deism, while gaining proficiency in theological foundations and practical strategies for designing impactful, biblically grounded, spiritual development.

This training fosters critical thinking, confidence in Millennial spiritual formation, and the ability to blend theory with praxis for real-world application. In an era of declining church engagement among emerging adults, this microcredential is vital for reversing dechurching trends and ensuring vibrant gospel transmission.

Ultimately, it empowers learners to participate in the missio Dei—God's redemptive mission—by sending the church to engage Millennials authentically, helping them become active members of the body of Christ and advancing God's kingdom across generations.
