Activation Resource Leader


The Activation Resource Leaders are staff members who provide leadership to the functional areas of the university and guide the Activation Teams composed of faculty members who participate in the University's strategic and operational decisions and implementation. By working together, faculty and staff bring unique and valuable perspectives not only to a deliberative decision process, but also to the design and fulfillment of its implementation. It is this shared institutional participation that signals the University's commitment to faculty governance and ensures that faculty and staff have voice in, and influence on, the decisions that affect them. Faculty have opportunities to participate in the functions of the university including: academic, operational, and support functions.

Activation Resource Leaders for the Academic Functions

The following staff resource faculty in their involvement in the university in the academic functions of their school or college. These functions focus on program coordination, quality online course development, and integrated curriculum design. Representatives from each school or college serve in one or more of the following roles: Sage, Designer, and Chair.

Provost:  resources the CHAIRS

Dean of Online Education:  resources the SAGES

Director of Academic Effectiveness:  resources the DESIGNERS

 

Activation Resource Leaders for Operational Functions

Several staff members are involved in resourcing faculty in their involvement in the operational functions of their school or college. These functions focus on admissions, advancement, partnerships, recruitment, promotion, and social media. They serve in the following roles: Engager, Steward, Advancer, Spokesperson, Scout, Promoter, and Influencer.

Director of Admissions:  resources the Engagers for Admissions

Chief Development Officer:  resources the Stewards for Donor or Grant Development

Director of University Partnerships:  resources the Spokespersons for Partner Development

Director of Human Resources:  resources the Scouts for Recruitment

Chief Story Telling Officer:  resources the Promoters for Publicity Development

Director of Global Media & Communications:  resources the Influencers for Social Media

 

Activation Resource Leaders for Support Functions

Three staff members are involved in resourcing faculty in their involvement in support functions of their school or college. These functions focus on technology, research and spiritual development. They serve in the following roles: Guides, Explorers, and Technologists.

University Chaplain:  resources the Guides for Spiritual Development

University President:  resources the Explorers for Research

Technologists:  resources the Technologists for Tech Support and Development
